Matched Funding
If you work for an organisation that has a matched funding policy, any money you raise for charity is matched by your employer. The government encourages businesses from large multinationals and mid-sized corporates, to small companies, to donate to charity by making those contributions tax-deductible. As a registered charity, FHS could benefit.
How does Matched Funding Work?
Companies may match the fundraising total from an event such as the Christmas Fair or for the particular contribution you, the employee, have made such as volunteering for a stall at the Fair. Typically, the employer will request a letter from FHS detailing the date, nature of the event and amount raised. Each policy is different, so please check with your employer and we can help with the rest!
